New & Useful: Our Top Shooting Products for the Season Ahead

With the shooting season gathering pace and several exciting new products arriving at Rural Sports, now is the perfect time to take a look at some of the latest releases and practical field essentials worth knowing about.

From new thermal and night-vision technology to compact airguns and reliable accessories, here are some of our current recommendations.

New: The HIKMICRO NEOS Thermal Range

One of the most exciting new arrivals is the HIKMICRO NEOS range, which brings modern thermal performance into a compact, traditional 30mm riflescope-style design.

There are three models available:

  • NE25: An accessible option for airgun shooting, rimfire pest control and shorter to medium-range work.
  • NH25L: Adds a higher-resolution sensor, integrated laser rangefinder and ballistic calculator.
  • NH35L: The most powerful option, offering increased image detail and a detection range of up to 1,800 metres.

Every model includes a large AMOLED display, Image Pro 3.0, Zoom Pro and HIKMICRO’s shutterless imaging technology. The complete range is available to pre-order from Rural Sports.

Day and Night Vision for Around-the-Clock Performance

For customers wanting one optic for both daylight and darkness, the NocPix NITE D70R is another important new release.

Its 5–40x magnification range, smooth stepless zoom and integrated laser rangefinder make it a versatile option for pest controllers and shooters who need accurate performance throughout the day and night.

The HIKMICRO ALPEX 4K Lite A40EL LRF is an excellent choice for airgun and rimfire shooters. It combines a compact design with a 4K sensor, full-colour daytime viewing, night vision and a laser rangefinder capable of measuring out to 1,000 metres.

Compact Airguns and Pistols

Airgun shooters also have several new Umarex products to explore.

The Umarex Notos Carbine .22 is a lightweight and compact regulated PCP air rifle supplied as a practical package with a scope and detachable bipod. Its short carbine format makes it easy to handle, while the sidelever action and magazine system provide quick follow-up shots.

For recreational and target shooting, the Umarex UX SPA Professional .22 offers a CO₂-powered repeating pellet pistol, while the UX SPA Master .177 provides a PCP-powered alternative with an integrated air cylinder.

The new Ruger SR1911 Competition Two Tone .177 BB is another eye-catching addition for customers looking for realistic competition-inspired styling and blowback action.

A More Stable Shooting Position

A steady shooting position can make a considerable difference in the field. The Primos Trigger Stick Gen 3 Tall Tripod offers fast, one-handed height adjustment and a locking leg-angle system for additional stability.

Its quick-detach yoke also makes it easy to switch between supporting a rifle and mounting compatible optical equipment.

Do Not Forget the Smaller Essentials

The most useful products are not always the largest or most expensive. Good hearing and eye protection, suitable footwear, a secure gun slip, cleaning equipment and a comfortable cartridge bag can transform a day in the field.

For airgun owners, the Umarex K3 Moderator is a compact three-chamber moderator with a standard ½-inch UNF thread, suitable for compatible .177 and .22 airguns.
