CRKT Chogan Hatchet 2727
The CRKT Chogan Hatchet is a compact hand axe with lots of power, designed by Ryan Johnson of RMJ Tactical. A perfect mix of practical and tactical, this axe is perfect to take with you on camping trips. The axe is made for chopping all your campfire wood, but can also be used to drive your pegs into the ground, for instance. The axe is delivered without a sheath.
The head of the CRKT Chogan Hatchet
The head is nice and chunky, with a wide cutting edge and a hammer section at the back. The relief on the cutting blade makes it easier to split wood without the axe quickly getting stuck due to friction. The axe head is made from 1055 carbon steel. This is a hard steel that retains its sharpness well. The coating protects the head against rust somewhat, but make sure you always store the axe in a dry place.
The handle of the CRKT Chogan Hatchet
The handle is made from nylon, reinforced with fibreglass. This combination is lightweight but seriously strong. The material can also withstand moisture well. It's ideal for work in wetter conditions. The handle is slightly textured to provide more grip.
