CRKT Fawkes Orange
The CRKT Fawkes Orange 2372 is a compact EDC pocket knife, designed by Alan Folts. Known for his popular CRKT knives such as the Minimalist collection. The blade is 6.9 cm long and when opened the knife is only 16.5 cm. But don't underestimate this pocket knife! This knife is meant to be used.
You can tell when you look at the type of steel used: 8Cr13MoV. A decent type of steel that is easy to sharpen after intensive use. And what about the assisted opening mechanism that was designed by Ken Onion? The assisted opening ensures that you can quickly open the knife with the flipper. It allows you to quickly open the knife. Because of the IKBS ball bearings it moves really well. When opened a solid liner lock will lock the blade to make sure you can safely get to work.
Alan Folt's cooperations with CRKT are always enhanced with cool handle materials. The Fawkes is no exception with its G10 handle. It is comprised of layers of black and orange G10. There is also an orange G10 backspacer with ridges.
